SUMMARY:KOALA CONSERVATION DAY: Members-Only Tree Planting
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the last planting day of the 2026 season\, an exclusive event for Koala Clancy Foundation members. Together\, while planting\, we’ll celebrate another successful season full of hard work\, good memories\, and lots of joy. \nHOW TO BOOK: The private booking link for this event has been sent to members’ inbox. Please check your email or contact us at info@koalaclancyfoundation.org.au for more info/to RSVP. Not a member yet? There’s still time to sign up and join this event! Click here for more info. \nMEETING LOCATION INFORMATION – This event is in Little River\, VIC. The meeting address will be texted to you the week of the event. If you have any questions or concenrs please email info@koalaclancyfoundation.org.au \nEnjoy a day of tree planting on the plains west of Melbourne\, connecting with nature and helping koalas – it’s an incredibly rewarding activity! \nAfter meeting at the meeting point\, we will drive in convoy to the nearby planting site for the day. You will be given guidance by our experienced staff\, then you can plant in the company of your own family or friends\, or with the rest of the group. We aim to plant around 2000 koala trees\, which will take at least 3 hours depending on the group size. \nAfter planting for a bit\, we’ll take morning tea and lunch breaks (BYO food and water). This will be undercover where possible but will often be outdoors. We recommend dressing in layers as weather can be variable – we’ve planted through rain\, hail\, and shine\, sometimes all in one day! \nA lot of the properties that we plant on are large\, open fields with no facilities. We recommend using the bathrooms at the meeting point in the morning. \nNote: Tree planting is an incredibly rewarding activity but it requires some fitness – ability to walk on uneven terrain\, carry equipment\, bend over and use hammers. With that said\, though\, we welcome all ages and abilities. \nAny questions\, contact info@koalaclancyfoundation.org.au \nFAQs \nWhat should I bring? \nDrinking water\, a hat\, packed lunch\, keep-cup for coffee or tea\, gardening gloves\, sunscreen and insect repellent. \nCan I participate more than once? \nYes! We encourage volunteers to participate in as many conservation days as they can! \nWhere can I contact the organiser with any questions? \nPlease email us if you have any questions: info@koalaclancyfoundation.org.au \nCan I update my registration information? \nPlease email us if your contact details change. \nWhat is the refund policy? \nYour ticket is non-refundable. \nAre children welcome? \nYes\, children of 5 years and over are welcome to join but must be accompanied by an adult. One adult per child please. \nCan I bring my dog/cat/pet? \nNo\, absolutely not. Pets are not permitted at Koala Clancy Foundation events. Your pet can’t remain in your car as you will not be close by. The properties we plant on often have livestock and farmers do not allow unknown pets on their properties under any circumstances. \nKoala Clancy Foundation incorporated is a not for profit registered charity.

SUMMARY:Koala Conservation Day: Seed Sowing
DESCRIPTION:  \nSow the seeds that will go toward our “300\,000 trees by 2030” target to save our koalas from extinction! \n\n\n\n\nEvery summer we prepare for our winter tree planting season by sowing and transplanting thousands of seeds that will eventually grow into koala trees\, and we need your help! December-January is the best time to sow the seeds of our koala trees\, plus it’s fun\, easy\, and everyone can help – no matter your age or ability! \nJoin us on a special summer edition of our Koala Conservation Days and be prepared to get your hands dirty. You will rotate through different tasks and enjoy a morning tea and lunch (BYO) break at the Koala Clancy Foundation Nursery HQ. \nOur team will look after the baby trees in our nursery until they are mature enough to plant along rivers surrounding the You Yangs\, so that our famous koala population can have a home in the face of climate change. \nSeed sowing is very rewarding and requires no experience at all. \nSeed sowing goes all day\, and an optional koala walk in the Brisbane Ranges may be offered. Note: our koalas are all wild and untracked therefore there is no guarantee of a koala sighting. \nAny questions\, contact info@koalaclancyfoundation.org.au
